After the comeback to the Clay Season since 2015, Roger Federer is playing with no stress
Roger Federer skipped the red surface courts 2 years because of his fitness but yet He decides
to play 2019 edition and comeback to the French Open as a sunshine when He announced that early
this season in the Australian Open,
The 20 Grand Slam winner reveals that He’s very excited for the new challenge to be playing
the clay season at the age of 37,
“I’m very excited. It’s a good challenge, a good test, Confidence I don’t know, it’s in no man’s land.
I have to start from scratch. I’m not very confident going into this clay court season, I can tell you that.”
“I don’t even remember how to slide any more. You know, I’m taking baby steps at this point.”
“To be honest, I didn’t play one point, not one shot on clay last year.
“Three years ago I played not feeling great in Monaco and Rome and all that.
“So it’s been so little that I really don’t know what to expect.”
It’s rarely that Federer has shown his self-doubt for an upcoming event especially a Grand Slam
He lost many finals in Roland Garros aganst Rafael Nadal and even with that He never gave up
He kept trying with his passion and hard work untill He took the title in very tough
year of 2009 against Robin Soderling, Roger knew some tough competition against all
of Tommy Haas, and Del Potro.
Although his doubts, Federer’s coach Ivan Ljubicic says that is still very hungry for more titles
besides, He’ll perform great on clay and expecting to play awesome matches again
